Our verdict

eDesk is built for people selling on Amazon, eBay, Shopify and half a dozen marketplaces at once, and it prices accordingly: the tier you need is decided by how many storefronts you run, not which features you want. Its AI billing is the clearest in this directory - $0.99 per outcome, with outcome defined in plain words and no charge when the AI tries and fails. If you sell on one channel this is overpriced. If you sell on ten, nothing else here is really aimed at you.

eDesk is the only desk in this directory that assumes you sell in more than one place. Amazon, eBay, Shopify, Walmart and the rest are the unit it thinks in, and the plan ladder is built on how many storefronts you run rather than which features you unlock. That makes it oddly priced for a single-channel brand and very well aimed at a multi-marketplace seller.

What it does

  • A single support workspace across online stores and marketplaces
  • Social messaging and live chat on every plan
  • Rule-based automations from the entry tier
  • Performance reporting and CSAT surveys from the second
  • An AI Agent included on every plan, billed by outcome rather than by seat

Pricing at a glance

  • Per user, per month. Essential $49, Growth $115, Professional $149 billed monthly
  • Billed annually: $39, $89 and $119, advertised as 20% off
  • Enterprise is quoted
  • Both figures are printed together, so there is nothing to misread
  • Full-feature free trial, upgrade or cancel any time, and a 30-day guarantee

The store count is the real tier

  • Essential: 1 online store or marketplace
  • Growth: 5
  • Professional: 10, plus assisted onboarding and 2 free read-only users
  • You do not move up this ladder because you want a feature. You move up because you opened another storefront
  • If you sell in one place, you are paying for a model you are not using

AI billing, and why it is worth copying

eDesk charges $0.99 per outcome, and unusually it publishes what that means:

> An outcome is AI Agent doing the work, not just trying. You are charged $0.99 only when it actually answers your customer or takes real action on their behalf. Charged once per ticket. No action, no charge.

Its own example: a shopper asks where their order is, the AI checks and replies with tracking, nobody else is needed. One outcome, $0.99.

That is the clearest definition of a billable AI unit in this directory. Several competitors meter AI without defining the unit at all, and one of them publishes two different prices for it. Note the cost sits on top of the per-seat price, so the plan figure is a floor rather than a total.

Before you commit

  • Count your storefronts before you read the price. That is what decides the tier
  • Model the AI outcomes separately; they are not included in the seat cost
  • Enterprise has no published figure, so a large operation is in a sales conversation regardless

Who should buy

  • Multi-marketplace sellers running Amazon, eBay, Shopify and others together
  • Ecommerce teams who want AI deflection with a cost they can actually forecast
  • Operations that want reporting and CSAT without an enterprise tier

Who should skip it

  • Single-storefront brands, who pay for a marketplace model they do not need
  • Teams wanting phone as a channel
  • Buyers who need a fixed total rather than seats plus usage

How we checked this

Plan names, both billing bases, the storefront limits, the AI outcome price and its definition were read from eDesk's own pricing page on 2026-09-25, which prints the monthly and annual figures together and defines the outcome unit with a worked example. Enterprise is recorded as quoted because no figure is published. No review-site text was used.

Strengths

  • Built around marketplaces, so Amazon and eBay are first-class rather than integrations someone bolted on.
  • The clearest AI billing we have found: $0.99 per outcome, charged once per ticket, and nothing at all when the AI takes no action.
  • eDesk publishes what an outcome is, in plain language, with a worked example. Most vendors do not define the unit they bill you for.
  • AI Agent is included on every plan rather than gated to the expensive tier.
  • Both billing bases printed together, with a full-feature free trial and a 30-day guarantee.
  • Two free read-only users on the Professional plan.

Trade-offs

  • The store count is the real gate: one marketplace on Essential, five on Growth, ten on Professional.
  • That makes it expensive for single-channel sellers, who pay marketplace pricing without needing it.
  • The jump from Essential to Growth is $39 to $89 a seat, driven by storefronts rather than capability.
  • AI outcomes are charged on top of every seat price, so the plan cost is a floor.
  • Enterprise is quoted, with no published figure.
