ClearFeed Review

Visit ClearFeed

Slack-based help desk for customer, IT and HR requests across chat and email.

From:
$24/agent/mo
Facts checked:

ClearFeed is a help desk that runs inside Slack. Requests come in from Slack channels, including Slack Connect channels shared with customers, plus email, web chat and Microsoft Teams. Agents work them from Slack or from a browser inbox. It suits support teams whose customers already talk to them in Slack. It is the wrong product for most DTC brands, whose customers write in by email, social DMs and phone.

What it does

  • Tickets from Slack channels, private Slack tickets, email (unlimited custom addresses) and web chat on every plan (helpdesk pricing)
  • MS Teams, Discord and Telegram channels, plus the customer/employee portal, only from Professional (helpdesk pricing)
  • A triage channel in Slack for private agent discussion, and parent-child tickets
  • Unlimited automations and custom fields, CSAT surveys, business hours, APIs and webhooks, all on Starter
  • Two-way sync with Zendesk, Freshdesk, Intercom, Jira/JSM, HubSpot, ClickUp, Linear and others, so ClearFeed can sit in front of a desk you already run. Salesforce Service Cloud sync needs Professional (helpdesk pricing)
  • SLA configuration and reports, multiple intake forms, custom statuses, the knowledge base, CRM sync and audit logs are all Professional-only
  • Missing: phone, SMS, WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook Messenger are not among the channels ClearFeed lists. No ecommerce platform, including Shopify, appears in its integrations list (clearfeed.ai)

Prices are an agent a month, in US dollars. Source: clearfeed.ai/pricing/helpdesk, checked .

  • Billing basis is unconfirmed. The pricing page shows one figure per plan next to a "15% off on annual subscriptions" badge, and does not say whether that figure is the monthly-billed or annual rate (helpdesk pricing). We are waiting on a screenshot to confirm
  • Two ways to pay for the same help desk: per agent, or by usage. Usage means Slack channels or tickets, whichever is higher
  • Per agent, Starter: $24 per agent per month, billing basis not labelled, 1-15 agents
  • Per agent, Professional: $49 per agent per month, billing basis not labelled, 1-15 agents. A full 15-agent team comes to $735 a month at the listed rate
  • More than 15 agents: Contact sales
  • By usage, Starter: $40 a month for 10 channels / 100 tickets, rising to $600 a month for 250 channels / 2,500 tickets, billing basis not labelled
  • By usage, Professional: $80 a month for 10 channels / 100 tickets, rising to $1,200 a month for 250 channels / 2,500 tickets, billing basis not labelled
  • Usage plans are billed on whichever is higher, channels or tickets, each rounded up to the next 10 channels or 100 tickets. For example, 950 tickets in 11 channels bills as 1,000 tickets
  • Usage plans allow unlimited agents: anyone can reply or be assigned. On agent plans, only paid agents can reply publicly. Everyone else can view and leave private comments
  • On the External Helpdesk, the usage meter counts every customer conversation ("requests", roughly one per Slack thread), not just conversations turned into tickets, even though the plan selector says "Tickets"
  • Discounts: 15% for annual billing, plus discounts for early-stage startups, nonprofits and education. These do not apply to AI credit overages
  • 14-day free trial, no card required, extendable on request. Cancel any time and keep access to the end of the billing cycle (pricing)

AI pricing

  • Credits are the unit. One credit is roughly one AI-agent invocation, but ClearFeed says simple runs can cost nothing and complex ones more than one credit. You cannot work out the cost of a single answer in advance (AI Agents pricing)
  • Starter: the AI pack is optional and starts at $20 a month for 100 credits (helpdesk pricing)
  • Professional includes the pack: 50 credits per agent on agent plans, or 100 credits per 10 channels / 100 tickets on usage plans
  • Extra credits cost $2 per 10 on the helpdesk page. The standalone AI Agents page prices them on a sliding scale instead: $2 per 10 up to 500, $1.50 per 10 from 501 to 1,000, and $1 per 10 beyond. The two pages do not match, so ask which applies to you
  • Unused credits do not roll over (AI Agents pricing)
  • No credits needed, on every plan: AI status changes, pending-response alerts, summaries when filing a ticket, and rewrite/summarize
  • The standalone AI Agents product is priced by Slack channel: $50 for 20 channels, $120 for 30, up to $550 for 200, with 250 credits a month shown. Those are the figures as printed; the jump from 20 to 30 channels is unusually steep
  • What it can do: answer from 12+ knowledge sources, including Confluence, Notion, Google Drive, SharePoint and help centers. From Professional, it can also use IT/HR tools such as Okta and BambooHR
  • What it can't do for a store: no order system is listed among its tools, so it cannot look up, edit, cancel or refund an order
  • AI can be switched off for the whole account, and ClearFeed says it does not train models on customer data (security)

Before you commit

  • Data is hosted in AWS us-east-1 only. EU data residency is listed as "coming soon" (security)
  • SAML SSO, sensitive-data redaction, a custom portal domain and the HIPAA plan with BAA are Enterprise-only, which means Contact sales. Google and Microsoft sign-in work on every plan
  • SLAs, the portal and every channel beyond Slack, email and web chat need Professional. Price the tier you will actually use, not Starter
  • Agents are counted separately in each product edition. The same person working the internal desk and the customer desk is billed twice
  • The Integrations Edition, which files Slack threads into an existing desk, does not work in Slack Connect channels and has no SLAs or service metrics (pricing)
  • On the usage plans, the Enterprise card says it starts above 50 channels / 500 tickets, but the price selector goes up to 250 / 2,500. Ask which ceiling applies before you sign
  • ClearFeed's own pages give two different SOC 2 Type II dates: August 2022 in the pricing FAQ, 2023 on the security page
  • Payment is by credit card through Stripe. The pages we read do not mention invoice billing

Who should buy it, and who should skip it

Who should buy

  • Software companies and merchant-facing platforms whose customers already sit in shared Slack Connect channels
  • Teams that want ticket tracking and SLAs on Slack threads without moving customers to email or a portal
  • Teams that already run Zendesk, Freshdesk or Intercom and want Slack conversations synced into it
  • Support teams where people outside support answer customers too, since usage pricing means you don't pay per seat

Who should skip it

  • DTC and ecommerce brands whose customers write in by email, Instagram, WhatsApp or phone
  • Shopify stores that want agents or AI to act on the order from inside the ticket
  • Phone-first teams
  • Anyone who needs EU data residency now
  • Teams that need SAML or a BAA but cannot take an Enterprise sales cycle

How we checked this

Prices and plan contents were read on 2026-10-06 from ClearFeed's own pricing pages: the pricing hub, Helpdesk pricing, AI Agents pricing and Integrations pricing. The hub page itself shows no figures; all figures come from the three sub-pages. We could not confirm whether the plan prices are monthly-billed or annual rates, because the page shows one figure beside a 15% annual-discount badge without labelling it. We have asked for a screenshot of the rendered page and will update the billing basis when we have it. Channels and integrations come from the ClearFeed homepage. Hosting, compliance and AI policy come from its security page. Headquarters and founding year are not stated on its About page, which still has placeholder text in two sections, so we leave them out. We did not check a status page or uptime record. Where ClearFeed's pages contradict each other, on the SOC 2 date, credit overage rates and the usage-plan Enterprise threshold, we recorded the conflict. No review-site text was used.
