Tidio's help desk plans are priced by the number of conversations a human on your team answers, with up to 10 seats included. The AI agent (Lyro) and the automation builder (Flows) each have their own quota and their own price, and all three are added together on the invoice. The plan table above gives each plan's entry price; the real bill depends on which step of each ladder you land on.
How Tidio counts what you pay for
- A billable conversation is any chat, ticket, email or social conversation that includes a reply from a human agent, or that your team started
- Messages nobody answers, spam included, never become billable
- One conversation counts once, however many messages it holds
- Replies from Lyro and from Flows are not agent replies, so they never touch the human quota
- A Lyro conversation is any conversation with at least one Lyro reply, counted once even if the customer comes back later
- Free, Starter and Growth allow up to 10 seats; Plus and Premium set the number by contract
How the plans differ
- Free: 50 billable conversations a month, 100 Flows visitors, and 50 Lyro conversations once per account
- Starter: $29 a month billed monthly or $24.17 billed annually, for 100 conversations. Adds the live visitors list and operating hours
- Growth: from $59 a month billed monthly or $49.17 billed annually, for 250 conversations. Adds macros, user permissions, automatic chat assignment, advanced analytics and in-chat Shopify actions (order history, cancellations, address changes, refunds)
- Plus: from $300 a month plus usage, through sales. Adds departments, multiple projects (Multiproject), the OpenAPI and webhooks, a dedicated success manager, a custom seat count and discounted usage rates
- Premium: quoted. Starts at 3,000 Lyro conversations, bills Lyro per resolution with a guaranteed 50% resolution rate, and is the only plan with SSO
- Any plan, Free included, can run the chat on several sites or stores. The widget then shares one set of appearance and availability settings across all of them
- No plan includes phone or SMS
The Growth ladder
Growth is one plan sold at seven volumes. Billed monthly:
- 250 conversations $59, 400 $89, 600 $129, 800 $159
- 1,000 conversations $179, 1,500 $249, 2,000 $349
- Per conversation, that falls from about $0.24 at 250 to about $0.17 at 2,000
- Above 2,000 conversations a month, or above 10 seats, you move to Plus or Premium, both through a sales call
- Annual billing is sold as "2 months free": each step costs ten twelfths of its monthly figure, which is how 250 conversations becomes $49.17
What the plan price leaves out
- Lyro AI agent, billed monthly: 50 conversations $39, 100 $75, 150 $110, 200 $140, 300 $210, 500 $350, 750 $525, 1,000 $700, and sales above that. Roughly $0.70 to $0.78 a conversation
- Flows, billed monthly: 2,000 visitors reached for $29, rising to 100,000 for $299. The free allowance is 100 visitors a month
- Removing "Powered by Tidio" from the chat widget is an add-on on Growth, listed at $16.67 a month at the annual rate. Plus includes it
- Running over a quota: the pricing page publishes no overage rate and doesn't say what happens to conversations past the limit. Its FAQ says plan changes take effect at the start of the next billing cycle. Ask Tidio how a mid-month spike is handled before you choose a step
- Tidio's page data also carries lower Latin American prices (Growth at 250 conversations is $39 there). The figures on this page are the standard US-dollar ones
A worked example
A Shopify brand with four agents answering 900 conversations a month, and Lyro answering another 200:
- Growth at the 1,000 step: $179
- Lyro at 200 conversations: $140
- Billed monthly: $179 + $140 = $319 a month
- Billed annually: $319 × 10 = $3,190 a year, about $265.83 a month
- The four seats add nothing. The same bill would cover up to ten agents
Where the AI agent fits in the bill
On Tidio's own rates, Lyro seldom lowers the Tidio invoice. In the example above, if agents answered those 200 conversations instead, 1,100 human conversations would need the 1,500 step at $249, which is $70 less than $179 + $140. A Lyro conversation costs about $0.70, while the 500 human conversations between the 1,000 and 1,500 steps cost $0.14 each. Buy Lyro to save agent hours and budget it as its own line. The case where it does cut the Tidio bill is a team near 2,000 human conversations, where AI deflection can keep you on Growth rather than a Plus or Premium contract.
Which plan fits which team
- Solo founders and stores answering under 50 conversations a month: Free covers it
- Small teams under 100 conversations a month who can live without macros: Starter
- Most ecommerce teams with up to 10 agents and 2,000 conversations: Growth, because macros, auto-assignment and the Shopify order actions start there. A brand with two or three stores can stay here if one set of widget settings suits them all
- Teams past 10 agents or 2,000 conversations, or needing the API, webhooks, or separate settings for each store or brand (Multiproject): Plus, which starts at $300 before any usage
- Teams that need SSO or want Lyro billed per resolution: Premium
