Foqal Review
Turns Slack and Teams messages into tracked requests with routing and approvals.
- From:
- $55/agent/mo
Foqal is a request desk that lives inside Slack and Microsoft Teams: a message in a channel or DM becomes a tracked request, gets routed to a queue, and closes with a log of who did what. Its own pricing page is titled "AI-Powered ITSM for Modern Teams", and customer support is one of four teams it pitches to, alongside IT, HR and ops. For an ecommerce support team the first question is not price but whether your customers will ever write to you in Slack or Teams.

What it does
- Turns Slack and Teams messages, emails and form submissions into tracked requests, captured automatically or with one click
- Routes by request type, channel, urgency or requester; each team gets its own queue, visibility rules and SLA targets inside one shared workspace
- Approvals arrive as a single Slack message, and approving can trigger the next step in Okta, Jira or another connected tool
- Knowledge base with unlimited articles and AI search on every plan
- Customer portal where requesters track their own tickets, on every plan
- Emoji-reaction automations: predefined on Starter, custom from Premium
- Web chat widget, custom SLAs, CSAT and NPS surveys, task runbooks and API access start at Premium
- Foqal says it can run beside Zendesk or Jira with bi-directional sync, so replacing your current desk is not a precondition
- Missing: the pricing page names Slack, Teams, email and web chat as channels. Phone, SMS, WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook do not appear, and no ecommerce platform is named on the pages we read
Pricing at a glance
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed annually | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $110 | $100 | $100 /month with up to 5 operators included. |

| Enterprise | $83 | $75 | $75 per operator/month, minimum 10 operators. |
Prices in US dollars. Source: foqal.io/pricing, checked .
- Priced per operator, meaning anyone who works or configures requests. Requesters, people pulled into a ticket to approve or advise, and channel watchers are free
- Administrators count as operators even if they never answer a ticket, so your admin takes a seat
- Starter $100 a month flat billed annually, $110 billed monthly, for up to 5 operators, but the plan is marked "Coming Soon" and could not be bought on 2026-10-07
- Premium $50 per operator per month billed annually, $55 billed monthly, minimum 3 operators, so $150 a month at the floor on annual billing ($165 billed monthly)
- Enterprise $75 per operator per month billed annually, $83 billed monthly, minimum 10 operators, so $750 a month at the floor on annual billing ($830 billed monthly); the button says Contact Sales
- The page has a Monthly/Annual toggle advertising 10% off for annual billing; the lower figures above are the annual rates. All prices are in US dollars
- Oncall licence: one licence covers 5 operators with only 1 active at a time. No price published; contact sales
- 30-day free trial; nonprofit and education pricing on request, contact sales
- Plan changes, upgrades included, take effect at the start of the next billing cycle
AI pricing (none published, which is the notable part)
- No per-resolution or per-interaction AI charge appears on the pricing page; the AI features listed sit inside the operator price
- Every plan: AI search across the knowledge base
- AI-generated articles from resolved tickets: 5 a month on Starter, unlimited on Premium and Enterprise
- AI deflection and categorisation start at Premium
- Foqal's homepage describes the AI as answering common questions from connected knowledge sources, detecting urgency and assisting agents
- What it can't do, on the pages we read: nothing describes the AI changing an order, issuing a refund or touching a shipment. Actions in other systems run through workflows and approvals, not through the AI talking to the customer
Before you commit
- Budget on the billing basis you will actually sign: on a ten-seat Enterprise floor, annual billing saves about $80 a month ($750 against $830)
- Starter is listed but not on sale, while the FAQ says all plans include a free trial. The cheapest plan you can actually start today is Premium
- Web chat, CSAT/NPS and custom SLAs need Premium, so a store that just wants a chat bubble on its site starts at the 3-operator minimum
- Because plan changes land at the next billing cycle, upgrading for web chat a week before a sale may not take effect in time
- Audit log trail, HIPAA/BAA, session duration controls and 24/7 emergency support are Enterprise only, behind the 10-operator minimum
- The homepage promises "comprehensive audit logging" and says every action is logged; the pricing page gates "Audit log trail" to Enterprise. Ask which log you get below Enterprise
- Starter caps you at 10 Slack/Teams channels and 10 participants per ticket; Premium raises participants to 20
- The same page gives two integration counts: "50+" on the Premium card, "30+" in the FAQ. Starter includes only Slack, Teams and email
- The comparison table lists an uptime/response SLA, but which plans get it did not survive our text capture. Get it in writing
- No data-residency statement on the pages we read; SOC 2 Type II, GDPR and SAML 2.0 SSO are claimed on the homepage
Who should buy it, and who should skip it
Who should buy
- Companies already running internal IT or HR requests through Slack or Teams that want a customer queue on the same platform, with each team's queue kept separate
- Support teams staying on Zendesk that want internal escalations to other departments tracked in Slack instead of disappearing into DMs
- Teams that want AI deflection without a per-resolution meter to forecast
Who should skip it
- DTC and ecommerce shops whose customers write in by email, site chat, Instagram, WhatsApp or phone; Foqal's centre of gravity is Slack and Teams, where consumers are not
- Anyone wanting AI that edits, cancels or refunds an order
- Phone-first support teams
- One- or two-person teams that need web chat: Starter is not on sale and Premium bills a 3-operator minimum
- Anyone needing an audit trail or a signed BAA with fewer than 10 operators
How we checked this
Plans, limits and the operator definition were read from Foqal's pricing page and everything else from its homepage, both on 2026-10-07. The monthly and billed-annually prices for each plan were verified against the rendered pricing page on 2026-10-12. The comparison table's tick marks did not survive extraction, so plan availability is taken from the plan cards only. The homepage's customer-outcome counters rendered as zeros, a sign they are drawn in JavaScript, and we did not use them. We tried to read Foqal's security, integrations, about and customer-support pages and those fetches did not complete, so security claims are the homepage's own wording and HQ and founding year are not stated. Where Foqal's pages contradicted each other, on audit logging, the integration count and the Starter trial, we recorded the conflict. No review-site text was used.
