Mava Review

Visit Mava

Shared inbox and AI support for Discord, Telegram, Slack, email and web chat.

From:
$39/mo
Facts checked:

Mava started as a ticket bot for Discord and Telegram. It has since grown into a shared inbox that also handles email, web chat and Slack. Its own site still says the community platforms are where it is strongest: private thread tickets inside a Discord server, and an AI that answers questions in public community channels. If your shop's customers email about orders, that history counts against it. If your brand runs its community on Discord or Telegram, that history is the reason to look.

What it does

  • One shared inbox for Discord, Telegram, Slack, email and web chat. Mava's FAQ says the Free plan includes all of these channels
  • Discord tickets run as private threads, so a customer's question moves out of the public channel without leaving Discord
  • You train the AI on your knowledge base and support content. It answers in public Discord channels, in Telegram groups and in private tickets, and hands over to a human
  • You can test the AI's answers in the dashboard before it goes live, so you can find gaps in its training
  • The inbox has status tracking, custom views, template answers and custom attributes
  • Analytics cover response times, AI resolution rate, ticket volume and CSAT. How much history you get depends on the plan: the current day on Free, 30 days on Founder, 90 days on Growth, all-time from Scale
  • REST API, webhooks and SDK from Scale up
  • Missing: the site lists no phone, SMS, WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook Messenger channel, and we found no Shopify or other ecommerce integration on the pages we read

  • Priced per workspace per month by support-request volume, not per seat
  • Free $0, no card: 30 support requests a month, 1 seat, 2 AI training sources, 5 template answers
  • Founder $39 billed monthly, $33 a month billed annually: 100 requests, 3 seats, 5 training sources, 30-day analytics
  • Growth $99 billed monthly, $83 a month billed annually: 500 requests, unlimited seats, 10 training sources, unlimited template answers, 90-day analytics
  • Scale $199 billed monthly, $166 a month billed annually: 2,000 requests. Adds the API, webhooks, SDK, sending email from your own domain, office hours and the multilingual AI bot
  • Enterprise $599 billed monthly, $499 a month billed annually: 10,000 requests. Adds rule-based and time-based automations, unlimited training sources and priority support
  • More than 10,000 requests or custom terms: contact sales
  • What counts as a support request: one private ticket from any channel, or one question the AI bot answers in a public Discord channel or Telegram group
  • Annual plans give you the full year's requests upfront: 12x the monthly allowance, so 6,000 on Growth. That pool can absorb a November peak that a monthly cap cannot
  • At full use, Growth works out to about $0.20 a request and Scale about $0.10, both billed monthly
  • Every paid plan has a 14-day trial with no card required. Mava notes that taxes may apply depending on location

AI pricing

  • No separate AI fee: Mava says AI is included on every plan at no extra charge
  • The catch is the meter. Every question the AI answers in a public Discord channel or Telegram group uses up one support request, from the same allowance as your tickets
  • Mava's definition counts a private ticket once. It does not list AI replies inside a ticket as separate requests
  • Plan gates: training on your team's past Discord replies and scripted AI replies start at Growth. The multilingual AI bot starts at Scale, $199 billed monthly
  • Training sources by plan: 2, 5, 10, then 20 on Scale (see the conflict below), then unlimited on Enterprise
  • What it can't do: the pages we read describe the AI answering from its training content and handing over to a human. None of them describe it looking up, changing, cancelling or refunding an order

Before you commit

  • There is no overage billing. When you go over your request limit, Mava hides new tickets until you upgrade, and the public AI bot stops answering. Customers can still open tickets, so they think they have reached you while your agents cannot see the tickets
  • That turns the gap between Growth (500 requests) and Scale (2,000) into a hard step. A 600-request month means $199 billed monthly, not $99 plus a few extra tickets
  • A busy public Discord channel or Telegram group draws on the same allowance as your tickets, so an active AI bot can run the inbox out early
  • Rule-based and time-based automations, such as reminders and status updates, are only on Enterprise at $599 billed monthly. The homepage mentions automations in the shared inbox without that limit, so check what Growth and Scale can actually automate before you choose
  • Sending replies from your own email domain starts at Scale. On lower plans, the comparison table lists forwarding from your domain into Mava, not sending from it
  • Office hours also start at Scale
  • The pricing page contradicts itself on Scale's AI training sources: 10 on the monthly card, 20 on the annual card and in the comparison table
  • We could not check security certifications, data location, SSO, roles, uptime, status history or data export. Ask about all of them before the trial ends

Who should buy it, and who should skip it

Who should buy

  • Brands whose customers already talk to them in a Discord server or Telegram group
  • Teams that want AI answering repeat questions in public channels, not only behind a ticket form
  • Growing teams that would rather not pay per seat, since agents are unlimited from Growth up
  • Shops with a seasonal peak that can pay annually and draw on a yearly request pool

Who should skip it

  • Email-first DTC shops whose tickets are mostly about orders. We found no Shopify integration on Mava's pages, and nothing there says the AI can act on an order
  • Teams whose support runs on phone, SMS, WhatsApp or Instagram
  • Anyone who needs rule-based routing for less than $599 a month billed monthly
  • Teams that will not watch a usage meter, because hitting the cap hides tickets instead of billing for them

How we checked this

We took prices, allowances and plan gates from the text of Mava's pricing page on 2026-10-07. That text includes both the monthly and the annual toggle states. Channels and features come from Mava's homepage, read the same day. We did not screenshot the rendered page. Checkmarks in the comparison table come through as blanks in page text, so we only treated a plan as excluded where a dash said so. We could not fetch Mava's documentation, security, legal or status pages for this draft. That is why headquarters, founding year, compliance, data location, SSO and uptime are not stated here. Where the pricing page contradicts itself, on Scale's AI training sources, we recorded both figures. No review-site text was used.
