Pylon Review
Support platform for B2B companies where human agents and AI resolve customer issues.

Pylon is a help desk built around AI agents. Pylon Labs, Inc. calls it "the only agentic support platform purpose-built for B2B", and the product follows from that: support runs through shared Slack and Microsoft Teams channels as well as email and chat, every conversation is tied to an account, and the AI is pitched as an investigator that reads your CRM, issue tracker, logs and code before a human opens the ticket. For a DTC or ecommerce support team, the important point is what Pylon was not built for.

What it does
- Ticketing across Slack, Microsoft Teams, email, chat widget, SMS, WhatsApp and phone; Discord and Telegram also appear in Pylon's channel list
- Every conversation is filed against an account ("Every conversation becomes account context"), with a separate Account Intelligence module
- Assist Agent: an AI operator for the human agent that can investigate, use connected tools, take action, or hand work to external agents
- Automations: repeatable workflows that run on a trigger or schedule, using Skills and context to take action
- Slack Agent: ask questions and take actions from Slack, with the same context, tools and permissions as inside Pylon
- Support Agent: answers customers automatically on every channel and brings in a human "when judgment is needed"
- Skills: reusable written instructions that tell the agents how your team investigates and resolves issues
- Workflows, routing and agent setup can be built "just by asking" in plain language
- Knowledge base, analytics, reporting, NPS and CSAT surveys, and workforce management
- Integrations shown on the homepage: Salesforce, HubSpot, Jira, Linear, Notion, Confluence, Gong, Snowflake, BigQuery, PostHog, Mixpanel, LaunchDarkly, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, plus MCP (Model Context Protocol, a standard way to connect AI tools to outside data) for passing customer data to your own agents
- Missing: the homepage integration list has no Shopify, BigCommerce or other ecommerce platform, so we could not confirm order lookup or order actions. We did not read the full integrations directory
Pricing at a glance
- Contact sales. Pylon publishes no plan names, no prices and no billing basis on the pages we read
- The
/pricing/URL opens a "Schedule a personalized 30-minute demo" form that asks for a work email. It is not a plan table - Neither page we read offers a free plan or a self-serve trial
- Whether you are billed per seat, per account, per conversation or per AI resolution is not stated
AI pricing (not published)
- AI agents are the core of the product, and none of their prices are published on the pages we read
- Nothing tells you whether the Support Agent is billed per resolution, per seat, by usage, or bundled into the plan
- No spending cap and no overage rate are published
- What Pylon says the AI can do: investigate across connected systems, take action, delegate to external agents, and resolve customer questions without a human
- What it can't do: the pages we read do not say. Ask for the list of actions the Support Agent can take without a human, and which connected systems it can write to rather than only read
Before you commit
- You will not know the price, the billing basis or any seat minimum until you have sat through a sales call. Budget an extra week in the evaluation for this
- The account model fits named B2B customers. A shop with thousands of one-time buyers a month should ask how Pylon handles customers who belong to no account, and whether account context slows agents down at that volume
- The homepage lists no ecommerce integration. If most of your tickets are "where is my order", confirm an order-system connection exists before you book the demo, not after
- Setting up routing by typing a request saves clicks, but in practice someone still has to check the rule the system wrote before it goes live. Ask how generated workflows are shown, tested and rolled back
- Pylon's site links to Trust and Security pages, but we did not read them. Security certifications, data residency, uptime commitments and incident history are not verified here
- Workforce Management is promoted on the homepage as "available now". Ask how long it has been in general release before you rely on it for scheduling
Who should buy it, and who should skip it
Who should buy
- B2B software companies that support customers in shared Slack or Microsoft Teams channels
- Support engineering teams whose tickets need context from Jira or Linear, Salesforce or HubSpot, product analytics or the codebase
- Teams that want AI to investigate issues and do follow-up work, not just draft replies
Who should skip it
- DTC and Shopify brands whose tickets are mostly about orders
- Anyone who has to budget from a published price before talking to a vendor
- Small teams that want to sign up and try the product the same afternoon
- Buyers who need security, data-residency or uptime terms in writing before a demo, at least until those pages are checked
How we checked this
This profile is based on two Pylon pages, both read on 2026-10-07: the homepage (https://www.usepylon.com) and the pricing URL (https://www.usepylon.com/pricing/). The pricing URL serves a demo-booking form with no figures, so pricing is recorded as contact sales. Pylon's documentation, changelog, security, trust and status pages were not read for this draft, so we make no claims about certifications, data residency, uptime or incident history. The headquarters and founding year in our vendor record do not appear on either page and are not stated here. Pylon describes itself as built for B2B, and our B2B coverage lives on bestb2bhelpdesk.com. This profile is written for the ecommerce buyer, for whom that is the main finding. No review-site text was used.
