QuantumDesk Review
AI-native help desk that pairs AI and human agents for B2B and D2C support.
- From:
- $25/agent/mo
QuantumDesk sells itself as an AI-native help desk: one inbox, with its Quantum AI triaging every conversation and resolving the repetitive ones before an agent sees them. It pitches to DTC and B2B teams alike and tells buyers to replace their current help desk, not bolt AI onto it. The pricing page is where it gets difficult. It publishes seat plans, an annual AI credit pool and a separate per-ticket model, and in several places its own figures disagree with each other.

What it does
- One inbox for email, chat, WhatsApp, social and API conversations, with the full conversation history on every customer
- AI reads each conversation for intent, urgency and sentiment, then prioritises and routes it
- Quantum AI answers repetitive questions on its own. The homepage says it also takes action on harder ones, "from order changes to refunds to multi-step workflows", and escalates to an agent with context
- Agent copilot drafts replies, summarises long threads, reads intent and suggests the next step
- Dashboards for resolution rate, escalations, CSAT and volume: Standard on Starter, Advanced from Growth up
- Shopify and Slack integrations are listed from Starter; workflows and SLAs from Growth
- Missing: neither page names a phone, voice or SMS channel, and neither names a help center or knowledge base product. You point the AI "at your docs"

Prices in US dollars. Source: quantumdesk.com/pricing, checked .
- Under the Monthly billing toggle, prices are per user: Starter $25, Growth $45, Pro $65, in US dollars. The page prints "/user" and never says "per month"
- The page changed after our pricing monitor last verified it on 2026-10-09: the first card is now a free Proof of Concept plan in place of a paid entry plan, so these plans are being re-verified
- Seat caps: Proof of Concept 2 seats (the comparison table says 3), Starter 5, Growth 10, Pro 20. At 30+ seats you move to Enterprise, which is Contact sales
- If "/user" means per user per month, a full plan costs $125 a month on Starter, $450 on Growth and $1,300 on Pro, billed monthly
- Billed annually: we cannot state a figure. The toggle promises 17% off, but the yearly figures are unclear and our readings of them disagree. Get the annual quote in writing
- The paid plans were marked "limited-time early-bird pricing" with no end date when we read the page on 2026-10-07
- The free Proof of Concept plan is a trial of up to 28 days
- The same page also offers a separate usage-based model: $0.79 per ticket for 15,000 to 50,000 tickets a year (15 seats), $0.69 for 50,001 to 250,000 (50 seats), $0.59 above 250,000 (unlimited seats), billed on annual ticket volume with "no platform fee, no per-seat charge". The page does not say how this relates to the seat plans or who qualifies
- The page's own calculator example labels a 60,000-ticket quote "Starter" at $0.69 a ticket: $41,400 a year, shown as $3,450 a month. But 60,000 tickets falls in the Growth band
- Prices can be shown in USD or INR
AI pricing
- Each AI resolution uses one credit. Past your pool it costs $0.79 a credit on every plan, with no published discount for volume
- The pool is annual, not monthly: Starter 1,000, Growth 2,500, Pro 5,000 a year
- An annual pool front-loads the risk. Growth's 2,500 averages about 208 a month, so a peak month of 800 AI resolutions uses nearly a third of the year's pool
- "No cap" is sold as no throttling. It also means the page publishes no spending cap or usage alert
- The page does not define a resolution. It does not say whether handoffs, greetings or reopened conversations use a credit
- AI agents per plan: 1 on the Proof of Concept trial, 2 on Starter, 4 on Growth, unlimited on Pro. The page never explains what one "AI agent" is
- Autonomous resolution is a row in the comparison table, but which plans include it can't be read from the page, so ask whether Starter's 1,000 credits buy autonomous resolution or only drafts
- What it can't do: we could not verify. The homepage says the AI acts only within your rules and hands off when a conversation needs human judgement. We read no documentation saying which order actions it supports, which store or 3PL systems it writes to, or whether refunds have a limit
Before you commit
- SOC 2, GDPR and ISO 27001 (written "ISO270001") are all marked "in progress" in QuantumDesk's own footer. If you sell into the EU, ask your DPO about GDPR "in progress" before any customer data moves
- Roles and permissions, SSO/SAML and audit logs are labelled Beta in the comparison table, even though the Pro card lists "SSO SAML" as a feature
- Pro stops at 20 seats. Agent 21 means Enterprise and a sales call. A 10-seat Growth team that adds temps for Q4 also has to change plan
- Early-bird prices with no end date: ask what you will pay at renewal
- Neither page publishes an uptime figure or links a status page, and neither states HQ or founding year
Who should buy it, and who should skip it
Who should buy
- Small Shopify DTC teams of 5 to 10 agents who want AI that tries to change orders and process refunds, and who will test that claim during the trial
- Teams on email and chat today who want WhatsApp and social in the same inbox without a per-channel add-on
- Buyers happy to treat the pricing page as an opening offer and negotiate terms
Who should skip it
- Phone-first support teams
- Teams over 20 agents, or teams that grow past their seat cap at peak and want a published price for it
- Anyone whose security review needs a SOC 2 report, an ISO certificate or a settled GDPR position today
- Teams that need production SSO, audit logs or granular roles rather than betas
- Finance teams that need a hard ceiling on AI spend
How we checked this
Everything here comes from two QuantumDesk pages, the homepage and the pricing page, both read on 2026-10-07. Prices were taken from the text of the pricing page, not a screenshot. That text runs both billing toggles together, so we assigned figures to "Monthly" and "Yearly" by the order they appear in. Our pricing monitor verified the plans on 2026-10-09, but on 2026-10-12 the live page showed a free Proof of Concept card in place of the paid entry plan, and its yearly figures no longer matched the reading on file. The plans are being re-verified, and only what the live page shows is printed here. Where the page contradicts itself (seat counts, AI agents and features on the entry plan, annual figures, SSO status, and the calculator example), we recorded the conflict instead of choosing the reading that flatters the vendor. We read no product documentation, status page or terms, so the AI's limits, uptime and data location are unverified. No review-site text was used.
